29th August 2013 – fruit fly

It flies lazily, in circles, above the kitchen compost bin. Its chestnut-brown tininess is nature’s deception. Its presence is a warning of a troublesome infestation.

6th August 2013 – street organ

Painted in bright colours, it draws in young and old. As the handle is turned, it reads familiar tunes from punched cardboard strips. A group of tiny wooden morris men dance, play and drink to entertain the crowds.
