Pecking not at wood but frozen ground, its crimson head searches for food in this sparse season. Flying up to its natural home, it is immediately hidden by the autumn leaves still clinging on to life.

5th October 2013 – Terry

He sits at his usual café table. Lank, sparse hair is plastered across his bald patch and his burly body is wrapped in a tattered, grey anorak. No-one gives him a second glance, yet inside lurks the soul of poet.
