9th June 2013 – seedlings

Fresh and green, they struggle up through the soil. First one tiny leaf and then another. Slowly, they dot the brown earth with signs of new life.

Without worms, no soil. Without soil, no plants. Without plants, no food. Slimy, small, seemingly insignificant; I watch them munching and burrowing, as I learn their true worth.
