Suited and booted, quick and slick. He strides towards us confidently. Patter at the ready, he reaches us with an expectant smile.
As she asks the usual questions, flipping open her notepad with practised ease, she smiles. Her young face lights up. Her otherwise uniform appearance becomes sunny and fresh on this drab, sultry day.
In the entrance sits a woman in a wheelchair. She looks thin and grey, holding a small cup of water in her hand. Our eyes meet and we smile. A moment of human contact, comforting for us both, I hope.
