Tarmac scraped away, a raked landscape has appeared. Rutted with holes and tiny ditches, a subterranean world. Rising above it are manhole islands, metal-capped miniature mountains.

22nd September 2013 – cake and ice cream

The perfect combination. Cherry-ripple flavour, heaped in cold mountains. Chocolate sponge, crumbly and moist. As the crumbs freeze to the snowy peaks, they begin to melt. An avalanche of sweetness finds its way to my spoon.
