Lined up in a row on the mantlepiece. Another year has passed, another celebration is over. Soon they will have to be taken down, but for now their bright colours and joyful messages cheer us.

11th October 2013 – coffin
Tight, woven wicker, painted a soft green by loving hands. Tied with ribbons carrying last messages of love and loss. Held on the shoulders of lovers and friends. Love surrounds us as we say goodbye.
