30th June 2013 – goulash
Bubbling away in a heavy based saucepan. Hearty chunks of beef, tomatoes and other vegetables reducing nicely to a glistening stew. I stir in the yoghurt, turning the dark surface to a creamy pink for an instant.

11th June 2013 – cookies
Golden brown, glistening and fizzing with heat. The miraculous transformation of flour, fat, eggs and sugar. A sweet treat for friends and family, ready to be consumed.

15th May 2013 – dish
I place the brown, ceramic dish of food I have cooked in the centre of the table. It sits, steaming and glistening. It contains all my hopes of a delicious meal which we will enjoy with our friends.
