A blissful roll on my lap becomes a frantic scramble. Her body twists and turns, tail swishing. Inevitably, she hits the floor. Shaking her head, she begins to wash her paw self-consciously. Dignity must be upheld.

14th August 2013 – pigeon

Wings flapping frantically, it dwarfs the bird feeder it is perched on. It repeatedly dips its head and tries to peck at the peanuts inside. A seemingly impossible task, but it will not yield.
