16th December 2013 – practice nurse
She bustles cheerfully around the room, shoes clicking softly on the lino floor. Deftly, she transfers samples into bottles and labels them. She invites complete trust; she knows her job well.
4th December 2013 – lego
An imaginative creation in bright primary colours. A concentrated task fulfilled on the waiting room floor. As its craftsman explains it, he fills the room with joy.

18th October 2013 – fall
A blissful roll on my lap becomes a frantic scramble. Her body twists and turns, tail swishing. Inevitably, she hits the floor. Shaking her head, she begins to wash her paw self-consciously. Dignity must be upheld.
30th April 2013 – handbag
Black and cavernous, she searches deep into its recesses. She crouches on the floor, pushing her arm further and further in. Reminding me of Mary Poppins, I wait to see what she will produce.
