26th November 2013 – sunlight
It shines through skeletal leaves. Tinged pink and orange, they glow like Christmas lights. An early morning light show penetrates the frost.

9th November 2013 – fence
Damp with dew in the early morning sun. As it warms, steam begins to rise. A cold fire burning as the day dawns clear.
27th September 2013 – autumn sunrise
The weakening light struggles to pierce the early morning clouds. A watercolour wash of pinks and oranges faintly tints them from underneath. The sun floats to the surface, serene and pale.

27th March 2013 – snowflakes
At first, they look like flies, chasing each other around in the early morning sun. Then I realise they’re falling, not flying. Tiny snowflakes, lost in a place where they cannot settle, melting away as fast as they appear.

15th January 2013 -view
Opening the curtains reveals pale blue sky, a watercolour wash fading to pale pink as it hits the horizon. The far off hills look as delicate as a papercut, the trees as thin as rice paper.
