28th July 2013 – red poppy
It stands proud of the patch of wildflowers. Its delicate red petals curling and floating in the breeze, it displays its black heart. A beautiful flower doomed to remind us of the blood and horror of war for eternity.

23rd June 2013 – roses
The only surviving flowers from a beautiful bouquet. They glow, pink and perfect. Petals spiralling into a delicate centre, each one is unique, its scent rising with every brush or sniff.
31st May 2013 – Californian poppy
Sunlight gently caresses her delicate flowers. Already a dazzling lemon yellow, they glow like blooms reborn. Her glory will be short lived, but today she outshines the light she touches.

15th January 2013 -view
Opening the curtains reveals pale blue sky, a watercolour wash fading to pale pink as it hits the horizon. The far off hills look as delicate as a papercut, the trees as thin as rice paper.
