Pink and frilly, it is perched on top of a laughing father’s head. It’s owner is behind him, carried in her mother’s arms. She giggles and snatches at it with her little baby hands.

12th March 2013 – mitten

Purple, sodden with melting snow, it lies abandoned on the pavement. Dropped unseen from a baby’s hand, without its pair. It looks lost, just another bit of rubbish now, doomed to rot upon this city street.
