Sprinkled onto the damp coir, they hesitate. Freed from their plastic-bagged prison, their tiny heads explore the bounty beneath them. Slowly but surely, they burrow down, disappearing to feed. Soon they will produce dark compost, blessing our garden with its life-giving richness.
